You can use the Map to quickly select and set a course to the system you need. Just press “M” and click on the systems list, find the one you need and double click it. All systems in your current sector appear on your system list as do other sectors you can move into.
If the location you need is in another sector, you’ll need to determine which sector using the galaxy map, then go to that sector, before the location will appear on your systems list.
Trying to go back to Earth Station? You want Sol System, in the Sirius Sector. The transwarp ability allows you to warp directly there, but it does have a half-hour cool-down timer. (You can find transwarp by pressing “P”, it’s in your list of abilities.)Star Trek Federation Gala

How Do I Make Energy Credits?
Currency is primarily in the form of energy credits. To get these credits, sell your drops. It does take a while to get drops, but by the time you need the upgrades you should be doing quests that provide them as rewards and finding more loot. (Ground enemies leave behind spheres that glow; space enemies the chests are more tear-drop shaped. Gold means its for you, white is for a teammate. Approach these to open them.)

You can set your ship’s aft weapon and secondary fore weapon to autofire by right clicking on these on the HUD. They’ll be rimmed in green when autofire is active. Ground autofire seems to have been disabled.

You can attach items to mail, and even send them to your other character(s), using the small consoles near the bank consoles, in the bank area of Exchange on Earthdock.

A fleet is basically a guild. You create one by visiting the Fleet Ambassador in Personnel on Earth Spacedock. You need to be in a group of at least five players to create a fleet.
