Protect your Aion Accounts – Phishing
We have published an post about Wow accounts security in the last month of the next year. In the post, we have mentioned to email phishing. It seems the evil guys are interested in Aion accounts too, as NCSoft published a notices about phishing activity in January 30, 2010.
In official notices, there is a list of the authoritative domains. So please scan carefully the URLs in any email! Remain vigilant = Fly Safe!
One of our largest and longest running fansites was the unfortunate target of a hacking attack earlier this week, resulting in the tragic theft of its e-mail database. While access to a list of e-mail addresses by itself will not allow anyone to compromise a game account, this list may be used for phishing, especially e-mail phishing. We have already seen an increase in phishing activity over the past week that may be a result of this theft.
The best way to avoid phishing scams is to avoid clicking links that have been sent via e-mail to you or posted in the forums. When in doubt, we recommend manually visiting official NCsoft websites and navigating to the suggested areas yourself.
The NCsoft and Aion domain URLs are:
