Aeria Games launched today the Open Beta of their new Free-To-Play mmorpg, DOMO or Dream Of Mirror Online, developed by Softstar. DOMO oriental themed mmorpg based on ancient Chinese Mythology centered around the Kunlun Mirrors.
DOMO features cute, anime styled characters and used cel-shading which made the characters look hand drawn or cartoonish.
There are four races in DOMO. Human, Shura, Sylph and Sprite. There are also 5 professions for you to choose from. Soldier, Martial Artists, Shaman, Hunter and Doctor.

HappyMMO is looking for close beta testers for their first mmorpg, Elf Online
ELF Online features a funny graphic and relaxing music, with specially designed character and NPC and humorous ingame system.
“There is nothing you can’t do” is the slogan of the Elf Online. Spurning the traditional gaming style, Elf Online creates a free and player-oriented in gaming environment enabling players to make their unique weapons and equipments specially designed for them.
A group of imps make waves in the game, playing tricks on each other by special effect items, holding chicken legs or fishing rod fighting fiercely doing prankish quests in game and teased by NPC. Do not be surprised, You are in ELF world.

It’s been almost a year since I last logged in into my account in Khan Online Philippines and finally the game I called home for a few years received an update. Well, it’s not the kind of update I was expecting but an update is an update no matter how good or bad it may be.

The things I noticed more from the forum post are the implementation of the Element System like this Knight’s Sword+15 with Ice Attribute and Sword+13 with Lightning Attribute (see photos) and the Knight Skill, Stamina of the Bear, WOOOOHOOOO!
Now if only the developers or the publisher will do something about the rampant use of illegal programs like Speed Hack and Cheat Engine in Khan then players would surely appreciate these new element weapon attributes.
Khan Online is a very well balanced PVP and Party Based MMORPG, well, that was before cheats were involved. I’m surprised that the developers nor the publisher didn’t mention anything about eliminating the use of third-party or illegal programs with Khan Online.
As I’ve mentioned in the beginning of the post, an update, good or bad, is better than none. PARTY ON!
I’ve been so busy with Second Life that I’ve missed so many things in the local MMORPG scene!
It seems that the trend this past few months was to go Free 2 Play as seen with the release of Ragnarok Online’s free to play Valkyrie Server and Rising Force (RF) Online free to play update. These news may be old to many but they are new to me.
I really need to get back into the MMORPG loop because the last news I heard was the closing of Philippine ROSE Online after it became Free 2 Play. Are we going to see the same thing happen with RF and RO? RF and RO Philippines will not be closing down soon because they still have a fairly large user base. Just look at Khan Online Philippines, it’s still up and running.
I’m not a big fan of RF or RO but I remember saying to myself that the only time I’ll even consider playing these two titles again is when they become Free 2 Play. I guess faith wants me to play these games again. LOL!
If I can get my hands on a CD installer then I might install and play these games again just for the hell of it but if I’m going to download the installer, well, I’m not sure. Like what I’ve said, I’m just not a big fan of RF and RO left a bad taste on me.
Anyway, my guess is that Game Publishers are getting enough returns in their investment to keep this Free 2 Play subscription model because if not then we wouldn’t see titles like RO or RF changing from Pay 2 Play to Free 2 Play.
