Age of the Chosen, FURY

Kabalyero on January 3rd, 2008 @ 2:21 am

Today I stumbled on FURY, Age of the Chosen, which is a PVP centered, action based mmorpg from Auran Games. I’m currently downloading the game client which is quite big, around 2.54GB, so it’ll take me sometime to complete downloading it. In the meantime, here are some screenshots of the game. Online Backgammon

Kabalyero on January 2nd, 2008 @ 9:17 pm

For those who don’t know, backgammon is a board game played by two players. Players move their pieces after each roll of the dice and the player who removes all his pieces first wins.

I’ve played online chess through Yahoo but online backgammon? Nope! A few days back I stumbled on a site which has tons of information about internet backgammon. It’s more like a portal on internet backgammon. It has news, articles, tips and tutorials on how to play backgammon.

BackgammonOnline Backgammon is far from your typical, everyday mmorpg. As stated above, it’s a game between 2 players but what really captured my interest is that you can play for real money and if you are really good then you can join various tournaments sponsored by various online backgammon associations worldwide.

The site is 1on1Backgammon.com and on the main page is a banner linked to a small game client used to play backgammon online. The client is free to download and if you register for an account you’ll be awarded $5 as a Welcome Bonus.

So, if you are interested in becoming a pro backgammon online player (someone who makes money playing online backgammon) then 1on1Backgammon.com is a good site to start learning about the game. It is also a good site for those who just wants to learn how to play backgammon in general, online or offline.

Khan Online Receives an Update

Kabalyero on November 26th, 2007 @ 5:03 am

It’s been almost a year since I last logged in into my account in Khan Online Philippines and finally the game I called home for a few years received an update. Well, it’s not the kind of update I was expecting but an update is an update no matter how good or bad it may be.

Khan Online Updates mentioned in KOP’s splash page:

  • New Enchantment
  • New Skills
  • New Mount Customization
  • New Items

More details on the update is posted at the boards, forums.khan.com.ph. The things I noticed more from the forum post are the implementation of the Element System like this Knight’s Sword+15 with Ice Attribute and Sword+13 with Lightning Attribute (see photos) and the Knight Skill, Stamina of the Bear, WOOOOHOOOO!

Knight Sword+15 with Ice Attribute

Knight Sword+13 with Lightning Attribute

Now if only the developers or the publisher will do something about the rampant use of illegal programs like Speed Hack and Cheat Engine in Khan then players would surely appreciate these new element weapon attributes.

Khan Online is a very well balanced PVP and Party Based MMORPG, well, that was before cheats were involved. I’m surprised that the developers nor the publisher didn’t mention anything about eliminating the use of third-party or illegal programs with Khan Online.

As I’ve mentioned in the beginning of the post, an update, good or bad, is better than none. PARTY ON!
