Rocky Open Beta Launch

Today’s Open Beta Launch of Cabal Online Philippines by e-Games Philippines was marred with technical problems which is really testing the very short patience of most Pinoy online gamers. LOL!

At exactly 6:00PM, I launched Cabal Online PH only to be greeted by an account blocked message. I waited a few minutes and then I tried again only to get the same result. The worst part of it was when my computer suddenly re-started. O_o

At e-Games’ Cabal Online Forum, complaints and rants from angry players were stacking up. Most of them wanted to know why their accounts were blocked. The question was answered by Cabal Online PH’s Community Manager (CM). It seems that they had some trouble with their registration and had to reset it which rendered all previous registrations invalid so you’ll have to re-register again. The only problem now is that the e-mail you used on your initial registration was already stored in the database which means you’ll need to use a new e-mail address to re-register.

Also, you won’t be able to use your existing e-Games PH account with Cabal Online PH. Registering a new one with Cabal Online PH is the only option. Remember, you must use Cabal Online PH’s registration form if you want to create an account with Cabal Online PH.

Since my initial registration was invalidated, I had no choice but to re-register but unfortunately, according to the CM, validation of e-mails are delayed due to network congestion which means their servers are choking! LOL! No wonder my validation e-mail hasn’t arrive yet. When it will arrive? Only God knows I guess! Ha ha ha!

Anyway, problems during an Open Beta launch of any game are expected that is why it still has the word “Beta” in it besides, even commercially released games still encounter problems from time to time. At times like this, the only thing a player can really do is WAIT but since most Pinoy online gamers play on Computer Shops and they are just renting the computers they use, waiting is not really an option for them so I kinda understand why they are all over the forum ranting their hearts out.

Right now, I have like three e-mail addresses registered but until now, I haven’t receive any validation e-mail and three hours had passed already.
