Socialize In SocioTown?

March 23rd, 2008 in MMORPG

Yesterday, I received an invite to SocioTown’s beta test. SocioTown is a web based 3D Massively Multiplayer Online Social Game (MMOSG) developed by Outside The Box Software and since it’s web-based, it means that you play SocioTown in your browser. There is no client to download and install. The game uses Adobe Shockwave Player which are already available in most browsers and, besides, you can always download and install the player, if your browser doesn’t have it, which is very small. Goodbye To Khan Online Philippines

March 22nd, 2008 in MMORPG

I have not played Khan Online for more than a year now but I still do visit the forum just to know what is happening in it. In my visit today, I learned that Khan Online Philippines publisher, Level Up Games, has finally decided to close down the service after 4 years.

Honestly, I was not surprised to learn about the closure because I’ve known a long time ago (not really that long, LOL) that Khan Online Philippines would be the next game to go and besides it was to be expected, the game is almost dead anyway so why prolong the suffering of the few remaining Khanatics. Starting Life In A Perfect World

March 2nd, 2008 in MMORPG, Virtual Life

Finally, I had the patience to wait and finish downloading Perfect World’s huge installer. The installer is broken into four pieces each piece is more than 600mb. That’s around 2gb of disk space. Whew! It took me approximately 8 hours to download all of it. I’ve always wanted to try out Perfect World but the size of the installer always turns me away from it but having upgraded to a faster DSL connection, I gave it another shot. Fly For Fun (Flyff) Wallpapers

March 1st, 2008 in MMORPG

Fly For Fun (Flyff) is another MMORPG that I used to play but not anymore. My kids really like Flyff too but they too don’t play it anymore. Again, this game was locally published by NetGames and became an instant hit because of its cuteness and Free To Play format. I didn’t play Flyff that long, in fact, I was only able to reach level 56. The servers back then was plagued with an enormous amount of lag which made playing the game not fun. I haven’t played the game for almost year so I can’t say if it’s still laggy or not. Anyway, below are some wallpapers which any Flyff fan can download and use.
